Specifies the basic colour and shape codings for the various classifications of traffic signs. The signs are illustrated in their respective colours in separate sections for regulatory, warning, guide and temporary signs and for hazard markers. The overall dimensions for the various sizes for each sign are given together with the numbers of other Standards in the AS 1742 series to which reference is required for the application of each sign in relation to a particular traffic situation.
