UL 2108:2004

1 Scope

1.1 These requirements apply to low voltage lighting systems and components intended for permanent installation and for use in locations in accordance with the National Electrical Code, ANSI/NFPA 70, Article 411.

1.2 These requirements cover:

a) Low voltage lighting power units;

b) Low-voltage exposed conductor lighting systems and luminaries incorporating exposed conductors; and

c) Class 2 low voltage lighting systems.

1.3 These requirements do not cover low-voltage lighting systems and luminaires covered by other standards such as, but not limited to, UL 153, Standard for Portable Electric Luminaires, UL 1574, Standard for Track Lighting Systems, UL 1598, Standard for Luminaires, UL 1838, Standard for Low Voltage Landscape Lighting Systems, or low voltage lighting systems that operate at over 25 amperes.
