Applicable to all common forms of water damage, including river flooding, surcharging of drainage systems, sewage systems, storm water run-off, inundation of seawater and bursting, overflowing or leaking of internal domestic plumbing and heating installations. It is also applicable to water damage which is the secondary result of other incidents, such as motor vehicle impact, storm or extinguishment water following a fire. It is not applicable to building reinstatement and redecoration methods.
