British Standard Cast Iron Light Manhole Covers and Frames shall comply in every respect with the requirements of this Specification. They shall be made of a suitable grade of pig iron with a mixture of clean scrap. The castings shall be sound and shall be such that they may be easily drilled, tapped and filed.
