The purpose of this specification is to provide processing recommendations for the minimum quality requirements necessary for arc welding structural automotive parts made of aluminum including passenger car, light truck and other types of vehicles. In addition, general processing recommendations are made as they relate to attaining required weld quality. See Annex A, Table A1 for typical structural components on vehicles made from aluminum.
