1.1This specification covers preformed expansion joint fillers of the following four types for use in concrete, brick, or stone construction.

1.1.1Type I-Sponge rubber.

1.1.2Type II-Cork.

1.1.3Type III-Self-expanding cork.

1.1.4Type IV-Recycled PVC.

1.2The values stated in inch-pound units are to be regarded as standard. The values given in parentheses are mathematical conversions to SI units that are provided for information only and are not considered standard.
