Relates to valves primarily intended for use with portable water, and usually operated by a removable key or handwheel, in buried or above-ground installations, and specifies materials, design, manufacturer, operation, testing and marking. Differs from 1983 edition in that Class 14 valves at 1400 kPa working pressure have replaced Class 12 valves at 1200 kPa to comply with current industrial requirements.
