Deals with the same technical areas as the 1982 edition but includes requirements as well as recommendations, the requirements applying to measurement techniques and acceptable levels of various lighting parameters. Other changes include the introduction of a second uniformity measurement, glare rating requirements and specified locations for illuminance and glare calculations or measurements.
