Specifies requirements for structure, components, performance and safety features of hand-powered and oxygen-powered resuscitators designed for use in the open air or in buildings. Resuscitator containers and kits are also specified. Appendices include tests for ventilation, maximum pressure, expiratory resistance, delivered oxygen concentration during inflation and spontaneous breathing, apparatus dead space during inflation and spontaneous breathing, and leakage of oxygen delivery systems.
