Appendices include internal fault provisions, calculation of cross-sectional area of bare conductors for thermal stresses due to currents of short duration, a recommended waterproofing test for outdoor equipment and a guide for voltage tests after erection on site. Additional requirements from AS 2263 may apply for metal-enclosed switchgear, depending upon its design, where the insulation is gas at other than atmospheric pressure.
