Bits shall be capable of being used with selected hand and power wrenches in the installation and removal of recess drive fasteners. Bits must have rust preventive coating removed prior to use.

Scope.

This specification establishes the requirements for the manufacture and acceptance of ribbed screwdriver bits and bit assemblies used for installation and removal of recess drive fasteners.
