This report summarizes the most recent research on bond behavior undercyclic loads. The report provides a background to bond problems, discussesthe main variables affecting bond performance, and describes its behaviorunder cyclic loads. Two general types of cyclic loads are addressed: highcycle(fatigue) and low-cycle (earthquake and similar) loads. The behaviorof straight anchorages, hooks and splices is included. Design recommendationsare provided for both high and low cycle fatigue, and suggestions forfurther research are given.
