This standard presents pocedures for inhabited, nonindustrial buildings to assess the quality of piping systems and the options available to return the piping systems to a serviceable condition, or remediation. This standard is a risk-based approach, and its focus is on the options available and the steps taken when determining whether the risk is acceptable or whether a more cautious remediation program must be selected.
