- standard incandescent lamps
- tungsten halogen lamps and low-voltage lamp transformers
- linear and compact fluorescent lamps and ballasts
- high-intensity discharge (HID) lamps and ballasts
- LED sources and drivers
- Induction and plasma sources and auxiliaries
Analyze each of the above based on:
- Common shapes, form factors, characteristics
- Advantages and disadvantages
- Controllability
- Compare the efficacy of each light source and required power auxiliary equipment
- Identify some common applications of each light source
