1. Scope
1.1
This Standard applies to ancillary devices for use in respiratory therapy that are intended to be directly attached to medical-air flowmeters complying with CSA Standard Z305.3. Its purpose is to ensure that all such equipment can be connected only to flow-metering devices and pressure regulators whose ou tlet connectors are specific for medical air.

This Standard applies to new equipment and is not retroactive.
