The purpose of this standared is to provide information relevant to one part of this problem. In particular, specifictions for wavelength accuracy, spectral band width, stray radiant energy, cell path length, absorbace accuracy, absorbance linearity, and absorbance pecision are discussed in relation to two broad categories of methods.
