Specifies certain limits of chemical composition for both the fittings and the metal to which they are to be welded, also the condition of the contact surfaces, the condition and form of the parts to be welded, the material and design of electrodes and their inserts, the welding procedure, weld inspection, the time, condition and methods of testing, and the test results which should be achieved. It includes an appendix on projection welding machines.
