The purpose of this standard is to establish specification for the automatic protection switching of optical facilities using the optical interface standard specificed in ATIS-0900105. This standard defines the contents of the Automatic Protection Switching (APS) bytes within the SONET signal. Formerly known as T1.105.01-2000(R2005).
