Specifications, tests, and practices detail the property requirements for caulking and glazing compounds; structural, emulsion, hot-applied, and solvent-release sealants; lock-strip gaskets; aerosol foam sealants; pipe gaskets; sealing tapes; and other building sealants. Also featured are standards on how to measure sealant properties.

It includes test methods on the combustibility and fire resistance of various materials, including building construction materials, mattresses, and upholstered furniture. Other standards cover fire safety engineering and large-scale fire tests under controlled conditions.

Volume 04.07 also includes standards on dimension stone, including dimension stone anchoring systems and selection of dimension stone for different applications.
