Sets out method for determining actual fibre content and vegetable matter content, as used to calculate the estimated commercial yield of the raw wool. The procedures provide for testing two, three or five subsamples, provided that the range of results of the tests are within specified limits. Provision is also made for corrections due to changes in ambient air temperature and humidity. Precision data based on international interlaboratory assessments are given.
