Specifies requirements for low-cost 'commercial quality' thermometers suitable for use where great accuracy of temperature measurement is not required. The temperature range covered is from minus 100 degrees Celsius to plus 500 degrees Celsius. Requirements relate to materials, construction and dimensions, graduation and figuring, scale error and marking. This Standard is identical with and reproduced from ISO 1770:1981 and its Amendment 1:1983.
