This equipment shall be used to form single, multiple, or tangent bends in "thin" and "ultra thin" tubing associated with airframe components manufactured. Thin wall tubing shall be denied in these specifications as tubing with wall thickness not to exceed 2.5 per cent of the tube outside diameter. Ultra-thin is tubing with walls that lack rigidity for supporting the cylindrical shape when in a relaxed position and requires internal wall support to secure proper clamping.

Purpose: draw process equipment covered by this specification shall be of adequate power, rigidity, and accuracy to make tight radius thin wall bends in aluminum, mild steel, stainless steel, titanium, and other alloyed tubing for Aerospace vehicles, to the applicable military or Federal specifications.
